The Daniel Protheroe Memorial Park is situated in Rhestr Fawr. Daniel Protheroe (5 November 1866 – 25 February 1934), was a Welsh composer and conductor, born in Rhestr Fawr.

The garden was one of the first projects undertaken by volunteers.
