Blodau Ystradgynlais have planted orchards around the town for the benefit of the community.
Trees have been planted in the Daniel Protheroe Memorial garden, Maes y Cwm and on the path leading to the Diamond Park next to Cafe Chameleon. The trees are all native Welsh trees.
